Responsibilities
- Spread Financial Statements for Analysis
- Maintains the bank’s analysis software in order to provide overall support and assistance to lenders in the financial analysis process
- Reviews incoming financial statements and updates or completes financial spreads
- Performs Complete Credit Analysis for Routine and Complex Credit Requests
- Completes an analysis financial statements received from borrowers
- Manages the future maturity list to ensure credits are renewed timely
- Prepares Written Loan Presentations for Routine and Complex Credit Requests
- Provides written financial statement analysis for credit presentations, file comments, and annual reviews
- Maintains the report of reviews due and works with lenders to keep comments current
- Provides Assistance to Lenders in Underwriting Credits in Accordance with Bank Policies
- Completes periodic reviews of file quality for participation portfolio
- Monitors and reports on specialized portfolios
- Prepares modified credit presentations on new and renewing loans that require Loan Committee approval including exposure summary, financial and cash flow analysis, collateral analysis, covenant and risk rating review
- Manages the Appraisal Process
- Places appraisals for bid with approved appraisers
- Selects appraiser and completes engagement letter
- Tracks appraisal status in relation to engagement letter, communicates with appraiser and lender on status
- Completes review of residential appraisals
- Regularly Interact with Borrowers and Accountants to Obtain Information Relevant to the Analysis
- Provides Assistance to Lenders with Policy Compliance, Loan Structuring, and General Underwriting
- Affords Assistance to Lenders in Identifying Cross-Selling Opportunities
- Understands the Bank’s Internal Loan Policy and Remains Current with Revisions and Exceptions to the Policy
- Performs Other Job-related Duties or Special Projects as Assigned
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or accounting preferred
- Minimum Experience: Two to five years of experience as a credit analyst or relevant experience in a position utilizing similar analytical skills
