Credit Analyst

About the role

A well-established, privately held community bank with over $1 billion in assets is seeking a Commercial Credit Analyst to join its growing lending team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 2+ years of commercial credit underwriting experience who enjoys analyzing commercial and commercial real estate loans while working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Support a team of 22 commercial lenders, providing thorough credit analysis and underwriting recommendations that help drive sound lending decisions.
• Manage 2-4 credit requests at a time, balancing workload and ensuring quality analysis.
• Sit in on loan committee meetings to gain valuable exposure to the decision-making process and further develop commercial banking expertise.
• Work in a centralized queue system for loan requests, ensuring efficient and effective loan processing.

Requirements

• 2+ years of commercial credit underwriting experience.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with commercial and commercial real estate loans.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as CFA, CPA, or CAE preferred but not required.

Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
