Credentials Specialist - Medical Staff Credentials
Responsibilities
- Captures the activities required for the initial and re-appointment of physicians and advanced practice providers.
- Maintains a credentialing process aligned with statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborates with medical staff leadership in the appointment and reappointment processes.
- Serves as a support to the medical staff in creating and maintaining criteria for privileging and delineating clinical privileges.
- Collaborates with hospital leadership to ensure the appointment and reappointment processes are conducted effectively.
- Assists in managing the appointment and reappointment of physicians and advanced practice providers.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years healthcare experience with a focus on extensive communication skills (verbal and written), problem-solving, organizational skills, conflict negotiation, clerical skills (with emphasis on resource management), strong computer skills (including proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
