About the role
Functions as Assistant to the Manager, Medical Staff Services and Vice President of Medical Affairs.
Responsibilities
- Assist in managing the Medical Staff Services office, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and coordinating events.
- Support the Manager, Medical Staff Services and Vice President of Medical Affairs with administrative tasks, including but not limited to data entry, document management, and correspondence.
- Handle incoming calls and emails, directing inquiries to appropriate personnel and ensuring timely responses.
- Manage the Medical Staff Services calendar and assist with travel arrangements for medical staff members.
- Prepare reports and maintain records related to Medical Staff Services operations.
- Support the development and implementation of policies and procedures within the Medical Staff Services department.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the smooth operation of the Medical Staff Services office.
Requirements
- High School Diploma. Associate Degree desired
- Two years’ experience in a Medical Staff Office or three years’ experience in an administrative secretarial capacity in a hospital or health care facility, preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and skill in using computer software such as Windows, Microsoft Office/Word, Excel, Power Point, PrivPlus or comparable credentialing software
