About the role

The CREDENTIALING ONBOARDING SPECIALIST is responsible for ensuring a smooth onboarding experience for new healthcare providers by managing the credentialing and payer enrollment processes. This role supports accurate documentation collection, data entry, and application review to enable timely provider start dates and maintain efficient coordination across teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary contact for onboarding providers, guiding them through paperwork and expectations
• Provide responsive, detail-oriented customer service throughout onboarding
• Maintain tracking records and communicate status updates to providers and internal teams
• Escalate complex issues or delays to management promptly
• Request and verify essential provider documents such as licenses and insurance
• Review credentialing and enrollment applications for completeness and accuracy
• Create and update provider profiles in internal databases
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to transfer verified information
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year experience in healthcare administration, medical staff services, or provider enrollment/credentialing
• At least 1 year of provider-facing customer service experience
• Basic knowledge of CAQH, provider licensure, and enrollment documentation
• Proficiency with Google Workspace

Pay

Base salary range of $63,000.00 to $67,000.00 excluding bonuses and benefits. Eligible for an annual bonus targeted at 10%. Base pay determined by experience, education, and geographic location.
