About the Opportunity

The Credentialing Coordinator is responsible for managing the credentialing process of behavioral health providers to ensure their qualifications meet the organization's standards for inclusion in the provider network. This role supports timely and accurate verification and documentation, contributing to the integrity and reliability of the network.

Responsibilities

  • Verify provider credentials, including licensure, education, insurance, and professional background.
  • Communicate with providers and external agencies to validate qualifications.
  • Review provider applications for completeness and resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate credentialing records and update databases.
  • Prepare documents for Credentialing Committee meetings.
  • Support projects to improve credentialing processes and efficiency.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma with 2 years of health-related experience or education.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve.
  • Must pass comprehensive background checks and drug screening.
  • Detail-oriented, accountable, and able to meet deadlines.
  • Able to work collaboratively and maintain professionalism.
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection at home.

Pay Range and Compensation Package

Hourly compensation between $21 and $23, plus an annual performance-based discretionary incentive. Compensation depends on factors such as skills, education, certifications, experience, and market data.
