Role Overview

The Coordinator Medical Staff supports medical administration activities, including credentialing, privileging, and provider onboarding, ensuring compliance with regulations and hospital policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate appointment, reappointment, and privileging processes for medical staff and providers.
  • Manage onboarding activities such as orientation, documentation, and credentialing updates.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of provider records, communicating with departments and external agents.
  • Assist with peer review, OPPE, and FPPE processes to evaluate provider competence.
  • Support administrative functions like maintaining credentialing software, handling correspondence, and responding to verification requests.
  • Collaborate with quality and PI teams to ensure timely evaluations and documentation.
  • Handle sensitive medical staff issues confidentially and support the Office of Medical Administration.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • At least two years healthcare administrative or credentialing experience.
  • Strong attention to detail, multitasking, and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to pursue NAMSS CPCS certification within two years.
  • Preferred experience in meeting coordination and project management.
