About the role
A Credentialing Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that healthcare professionals have the necessary credentials to practice. This includes verifying education, licensing, and certification requirements. The role also involves maintaining accurate records and liaising with regulatory bodies.
Responsibilities
- Verify and update credentialing information for healthcare providers
- Communicate with healthcare organizations and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with credentialing standards
- Manage the credentialing process from start to finish, including initial application, review, and renewal
- Ensure all documentation is complete and accurate
- Liaise with healthcare providers to address any issues or discrepancies in their credentialing status
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (healthcare, business, etc.)
- At least 2 years of experience in healthcare credentialing or a related field
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Qualifications
