Responsibilities
- Affords assistance to new and current providers in completing applications for medical licensing, insurance carrier credentialing, CAQH completion, DEA application, malpractice insurance, and hospital credentialing.
- Maintains timely billing by collaborating with Practice Managers to manage patient panels and ensure that provider credentialing is complete and accurate.
- Creates and updates profiles in the Brown Health Medical Group Primary Care credentialing database, Image Silo, CAQH, and NPPES (NPI database).
- Prepares credentialing applications for imaging and laboratory facilities and services, and works with the Billing Department to address any credentialing-related payment issues.
- Shares provider numbers obtained from insurance carriers with Billing and Practice Managers.
- Monitors and records all relevant provider licenses, certifications, and documentation in the credentialing database.
- Participates in coverage rotations for the Corporate Receptionist role.
- Performs other job-related duties as directed.
