About the role

We're looking for a Creative Strategist who lives at the intersection of gaming culture, paid advertising, and creative production. This isn't a role where you'll write briefs and wait for someone else to bring ideas to life. You'll spot opportunities before anyone else does. You'll turn gamer insights into creative concepts. You'll write the hook, shape the story, direct the execution, launch the test, analyze the results, and decide what gets made next. You'll be the person responsible for answering one of the most important questions in growth: What creative should we make next, and why?

Responsibilities

  • Own the ideas that shape how millions of players discover and experience Wand.
  • Define the stories we tell, the emotions we tap into, and the angles we test.
  • Build and evolve the creative systems that help us consistently produce winning ads.
  • Shape how gamers see Wand.
  • Build a culture of experimentation.
  • Lead creative production.

Requirements

  • 4–6 years in creative strategy, performance marketing, copywriting, creative direction, or a related role.
  • Experience creating performance-focused paid social creative.
  • Strong understanding of Meta, Google, YouTube, TikTok, and platform-native creative formats.
  • Experience turning insights and data into creative decisions.
  • Experience managing freelancers, agencies, or creative partners.
  • A portfolio demonstrating concept development, messaging, and creative thinking—not just execution.
  • Ability to explain both the idea behind a creative and the outcome it drove.

Qualifications

  • Understands gaming culture because you participate in it.
  • Has opinions on why certain gaming ads work and others don't.
  • Can switch effortlessly between strategic thinking and hands-on execution.
  • Enjoys turning performance data into creative ideas.
  • Doesn't need a detailed brief to get started.
  • Gets excited by finding a winning concept and figuring out how to scale it.
  • Naturally curious about player behavior and motivation.

Skills

  • Understanding of gaming communities, creators, and internet culture.
  • Experience in high-growth startups.
  • Deep familiarity with accessibility in gaming.
