About the role

As the Manager, Creative, you will manage Loungefly’s team of Graphic Designers in the creation of innovative product designs, guide the team on task prioritization, and communicate project expectations. You will coach and develop a team of high-performing graphic designers to achieve business outcomes, demonstrating cross-functional leadership in communicating project statuses and driving process improvements within the overall product go-to-market strategies. This role reports to and works closely with the Sr. Creative Director of Loungefly’s Creative team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and provide strategic graphic design direction, inspiring the team to deliver innovative product concepts and designs that are rooted in creativity and aligned with brand standards.
  • Directly contribute to product creation and graphic revisions as needed to ensure deadlines and creative objectives are successfully met.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs align with product briefs and market trends.
  • Work with the Senior Product Operations Manager to prepare and report on project status internally and externally throughout the product creation lifecycle.
  • Proactively anticipate and identify challenges in the design process, resolving issues through appropriate actions and communications.
  • Execute key creative product initiatives, driving innovation and elevating overall product storytelling and brand impact.

Requirements

  • Expert-level skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator and Photoshop).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Product Design or Development (or similar degree) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3–6 years of experience in fashion/softlines creative or product design and development or related experience.
  • 1–3 years of direct leadership experience managing and coaching a creative product team or similar.
  • Strong eye for fashion/style, new trends, and techniques.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a practical, common-sense approach to getting things done.
  • Ability to lead a creative team in a production workflow process.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated project management skills.

Pay

The base salary range for this position in Burbank, CA is $90,610–$110,500 annually. Compensation may vary based on qualifications, skills, experience, and location. Base pay is part of a total package that may include discretionary bonuses, incentives, and restricted stock units.

Work Environment

This is an on-site position based in Burbank, CA. Local candidates will be considered first. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee frequently reaches with hands and arms and occasionally stands and walks. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
