Responsibilities
- Creative Vision: Translate brand positioning and business objectives into compelling visual storytelling and content systems. Continuously evolve the brand’s creative expression to remain culturally relevant and visually differentiated.
- Brand Systems & Creative Governance:
- Own Liquid I.V.’s visual identity, verbal expression, creative principles, and brand standards.
- Develop scalable brand systems, toolkits, and creative guidelines for consistency across internal teams, agency partners, and global markets.
- Build enduring creative assets that increase efficiency while strengthening long-term brand equity.
- Creative Ecosystem Leadership:
- Design and lead a hybrid creative operating model balancing internal capabilities with external agency partners.
- Determine the appropriate execution model for initiatives based on strategic importance, speed, specialization, and scale.
- Lead agency selection, scopes of work, creative evaluations, and ongoing performance management.
- Ensure seamless collaboration across in-house teams, production partners, and creative agencies to maximize efficiency without sacrificing quality.
- Build scalable workflows to eliminate duplicated work and accelerate creative delivery.
- Campaign & Launch Leadership:
- Lead the creative development and execution of all Tier campaigns, product launches, and innovation initiatives.
- Oversee the creation of fully integrated asset ecosystems, including retail displays, POS materials, paid and organic social, performance creative, PDP imagery, email, and D2C content.
- Direct large-scale campaign toolkits to ensure global scalability and market adaptability.
- Partner with Integrated Marketing and Brand teams to ensure cohesive storytelling across digital, retail, and experiential touchpoints.
- Portfolio, Packaging & Innovation Design:
- Develop cohesive creative systems across multiple product platforms and innovation pipelines.
- Ensure each product platform has a distinct role within the broader brand architecture while maintaining one unified brand identity.
- Oversee all packaging design for new and existing products, ensuring alignment with brand identity, regulatory requirements, and market trends.
- Direct the development of renders and visualization assets for innovation research, commercialization, and sell-in presentations.
- Ensure packaging remains a competitive advantage through impactful shelf presence and clear consumer communication.
- Content Studio & Social-first Creative:
- Develop platform-native creative strategies across Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, retail media, and emerging platforms.
- Balance campaign-level storytelling with always-on content production.
- Partner closely with Social, Influencer, and Performance Marketing to ensure creative is optimized for engagement and business performance.
- Digital, E-Commerce & Performance Creative:
- Guide the development of conversion-driven creative assets for D2C, eCommerce, and omni-channel platforms.
- Ensure PDP imagery, performance marketing assets, and digital content meet best-in-class standards for brand storytelling and commercial effectiveness.
- Partner with performance and analytics teams to leverage data insights for creative optimization and testing strategies.
- Team Leadership & Organizational Development:
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a multidisciplinary in-house creative team across art direction, packaging and digital design, copy, and production.
- Establish clear creative processes, workflows, and quality control standards to support scale and efficiency.
- Foster a highly collaborative creative culture centered around curiosity, feedback, and continuous improvement.
- Establish KPIs and creative performance metrics to evaluate impact and inform future strategy.
- Provide regular coaching, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration & Operational Excellence:
- Partner closely with senior leadership to align creative strategy with broader business objectives.
- Build a culture of transparency, accountability, and partnerships across Marketing, Innovation, Media, Sales, Ecomm, and Insights.
- Design workflows that enable volume, variety, and speed across multiple business priorities.
- Build team structures, roles, and resource models that optimize creative output.
- Balance internal capacity with external partners to maximize efficiency.
Requirements
- 10+ years of progressive experience in creative leadership roles, preferably within consumer goods, health and wellness, beverage, or lifestyle brands.
- Proven experience leading high-performing in-house creative teams in a fast-paced, multi-channel environment.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating excellence in art direction, brand identity systems, packaging design, and integrated campaign execution.
- Deep understanding of digital marketing ecosystems, eCommerce platforms, and performance-driven creative development.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to connect creative decisions to business impact.
- Experience leading hybrid in-house and agency creative ecosystems.
- Deep understanding of social-first creative, creator ecosystems, and platform-native storytelling.
- Experience leading packaging, innovation, and brand identity systems.
- Strong understanding of DTC, retail, shopper marketing, and omnichannel creative.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple large-scale projects simultaneously while maintaining exceptional quality standards.
- Exceptional communication skills and executive presence, with the ability to influence senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Fine Arts, Marketing, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
