Key Responsibilities
- Own the creative vision and direction for Audiohook's brand, marketing, and client-facing campaigns
- Lead the creative process from concept through execution, ensuring high-quality, on-brand output
- Partner closely with Marketing, Sales, and Product leadership to align creative work with business objectives
- Build, manage, and mentor a team of designers, writers, and other creative contributors (in-house and/or freelance)
- Develop and evolve brand guidelines, visual identity, and messaging frameworks
- Present creative concepts and rationale to internal stakeholders and, as needed, to clients or partners
- Oversee production timelines, budgets, and vendor/freelancer relationships
- Stay current on creative trends in digital advertising, with particular attention to audio and podcast media
Qualifications
- Required Qualifications: 6+ years of experience in creative leadership roles (Creative Director, Associate Creative Director, or similar), ideally within advertising, media, or adtech
- Proven track record leading creative teams and delivering high-quality campaigns across multiple formats and channels
- Strong portfolio demonstrating conceptual thinking, brand storytelling, and design/copy execution
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to sell in creative ideas to stakeholders at all levels
- Experience managing creative operations including timelines, budgets, and cross-functional collaboration
- Comfort operating in a fast-paced startup environment, wearing multiple hats as needed
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience creating or overseeing audio advertising and/or podcast ad creative (host-read scripts, produced audio spots, dynamic audio insertion, etc.)
- Familiarity with the podcast/audio media landscape and its unique creative constraints and opportunities
- Experience working in adtech or with programmatic/digital media platforms
