About the role
The Carboncopies Foundation is an international nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the science and technology of whole brain emulation. This role involves generating imaginative, compelling ideas for videos, campaigns, storytelling, and other content that communicates the foundation's mission and inspires their audiences.
Responsibilities
- Develop high-level ideas and creative direction for video scripts, campaigns, and communications
- Brainstorm and pitch content formats, themes, metaphors, and narratives
- Contribute to public-facing messaging and outreach materials
- Collaborate with internal teams to refine ideas and shape execution
- Offer strategic input on audience engagement and tone
- Provide guidance on structure, emotional resonance, and conceptual clarity
Qualifications
- Strong conceptual and storytelling skills
- Ability to generate ideas that are innovative, mission-aligned, and audience-focused
- Clear communicator with the ability to express ideas in writing or visual outlines
- Comfortable collaborating with design, video, and communications teams
- Familiarity with science communication, nonprofit outreach, or public education is a plus
- Interest in neuroscience, consciousness, or future-oriented technologies is welcome
Time commitment
A flexible, approximately 5-15 hours per week
