CRATER / PACKER (1st or 2nd SHIFT)

About the role

As the Crater/Packer within our belt shop, you will construct wooden crates to efficiently and successfully ship finished products to our customers.

Schedule

• First Shift: 4x10 Monday - Thursday, 6:00am-4:30pm
• Second Shift: 4x10 Monday - Thursday, 4:00pm-2:00am

Responsibilities

• Build various wooden crates for shipment and protective packaging of finished products
• Load crates with forklift or overhead crane, frequently with the assistance of other shop personnel
• Follow instructions and pre-established guidelines to meet shipping requirements
• Communicate with the Belt shop team to coordinate priority

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Good communication skills for asking questions and presenting information to others
• Ability to follow instructions and procedures
• Demonstrate safe building construction skills, similar to a house framer, using saws, pneumatic nail guns and staplers
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Attention to details and numbers for accuracy

Pay

Hourly wage range:

• First shift: $21.00 to $24.00 per hour
• Second shift: $23.00 to $30.00 per hour (includes 20% shift premium)
