Packer 1 (2nd Shift)

About the Role

Responsible for packaging parts for shipment and transport in a manufacturing setting. This position requires access to knowledge and technical data regulated by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Responsibilities

• Measure, weigh, and count products and materials
• Examine and inspect containers, materials, and products to ensure packing specifications are met
• Ensure all documentation is kept with the materials
• Record product, packaging, and order information on specified forms and records
• Seal containers or materials using stretch wrap, tape, and other packaging materials
• Assemble, line, and pad cartons, crates, and containers using hand tools
• Clean containers, materials, supplies, or work areas using cleaning solutions and hand tools
• Follow instructions from supervisor pertaining to specific tasks
• Ensure integrity of parts after processing (damage, scratches, etc.)
• Visually inspect parts to ensure the process has been completed correctly
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required

• Sense of Sound – Able to hear average conversation
• Sense of Touch
• Ability to wear Personal Prote Equipment (PPE) – Safety Glasses
• Standing for long periods of time
