About the role

The Division of Plastic Surgery at the University of Utah is seeking a board-eligible or ABO board-certified Craniofacial Orthodontist to join our multidisciplinary team beginning August 1, 2025. Applicants must have completed a 12-month university-based craniofacial orthodontic fellowship, preferably hospital-based.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive orthodontic evaluation and treatment for congenital and acquired craniofacial anomalies, cleft conditions, and facial trauma from infancy through adulthood.
  • Deliver care in outpatient, inpatient, and operating-room settings.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary cleft and craniofacial team, plastic surgeons, speech pathologists, pediatric specialists, and other providers.
  • Establish and maintain an orthodontic practice within the University of Utah Health system.
  • Participate in education, team conferences, and outreach to offsite satellite clinics in the Salt Lake Valley.

Qualifications

  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics
  • DDS, DMD, or equivalent degree
  • Completion of a 12-month university-based craniofacial orthodontic fellowship (hospital-based preferred)
  • Utah State Dental License
  • Ability to obtain credentials with the University of Utah and Primary Children's Hospital
