Crane Rental Estimator & Outside Sales Representative

Position Summary

Central Rent-A-Crane, located in Fairland, has a career opportunity for a Crane Rental Estimator & Outside Sales Representative for Indianapolis, IN and the surrounding area. This is a full-time, exempt position with comprehensive benefits package in a casual business environment. Commission eligibility after an initial training period. Experienced Crane Operators looking to make a career change are encouraged to apply. Occasional overnight travel in the area may be required.

Essential Functions

• Making presentations to customers and providing professional quotes
• Evaluating job sites to provide the most efficient and effective way to perform tasks safely
• Coordinating sales efforts by studying existing and potential customer volumes
• Submitting activity and results reports to management on a regular basis
• Analyzing current marketplace information on pricing, available products, marketing, and merchandising techniques
• Submitting recommendations on changes in products, services, policies, etc., based on evaluation of current competitive developments
• Investigating customer complaints, developing solutions, and making recommendations to management
• Maintaining records on area and customer sales; providing historical reports

Skills And Experience Requirements

• Customer service oriented
• Good communication and closing skills
• Territory management, prospecting, presentation, and negotiation skills
• Self-confidence and motivation
• Product knowledge and ability to maintain client relationships
• Tech savvy - Experience with Microsoft Office, CRM, and Apple products
• Crane/Aerial Rental, or Construction Equipment Rental experience highly desired
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable MVR
