Responsibilities

• Operate crane under complete control
• Operate crane under supervision
• Inspect the crane and all of its components and below the hook lifting devices routinely and periodically to ensure its safety and the safety of all involved
• Perform routine maintenance
• Carry tools for performing repairs as needed
• Understand and execute the job billing process
• Wear required personal protective equipment while performing work
• Clean and maintain the crane and all components
• Utilize manufacturers recommendations during assembly/disassembly while erecting crane, and while operating the crane in all configurations
• Direct truck drivers and crane helpers during the process of assembly/disassembly, crane set up, and scope of work
• Mentor other crane operators, crane helpers, etc.

Requirements

• Must possess a N.C.C.C.O. crane operator certification card for size and type of crane operating
• Must possess crane operator qualification evaluations on all types of size and type of cranes operating
• Must have necessary knowledge of OSHA regulations, and ANSI standards associated with crane and rigging services
• Must be proficient in oral and written communication skills
• Must be able to take direction(s) from supervision
• Must perform daily and monthly equipment inspections
• Must follow all safety and company policies and procedures as well as that of customers
