Crane Operator

Responsibilities

• Drive, maneuver, or control heavy machinery used to construct roads and other structures.
• Operate traveling or stationary overhead crane to lift, move, and position loads, such as machinery, equipment, products, and solid or bulk materials.
• Observe load hookup and determine safety of load.
• Clean and maintain crane and hoisting mechanism.
• Inspect crane for defective parts and notify supervisor of defects or malfunctions.
• Clean and maintain equipment, making basic repairs as necessary.
• Move levers, push pedals, or turn valves to control equipment.
• Drive and maneuver equipment.
• Coordinate machine actions with crew members using hand or audio signals.
• Maintain knowledge of Company’s values and strategic plan.
• Perform additional assignments per management’s direction.

Requirements

• NCCCO certification required (both RT & Crawler preferred).
• Rigging, assemble, and disassemble cranes preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience with construction equipment preferred.

Pay

USD $38.00–$43.00 per hour.
