Craftsman/Professional Handyman - 1099 by the job

You can patch drywall, hang a door, swap a faucet, and repair a fence board all before lunch, and homeowners trust you the moment you walk in. What you don't love is chasing leads, writing estimates, answering calls at 9 p.m., and wondering where next month's work is coming from. That's where we come in. House Doctors is a professional handyman and remodeling company serving St. Charles County and West County, and we're growing fast. We're looking for multi-skilled independent handyman pros who want to stay their own boss while plugging into a team that keeps the work flowing.

Responsibilities

• Carpentry, trim, and door repairs and installs
• Drywall patching and finishing
• Interior and exterior paint touch-ups and small paint jobs
• Flooring repairs and small installs
• Light plumbing: faucets, toilets, disposals, and leaks
• Light electrical: fixtures, fans, switches, and outlets
• Small deck, fence, gutter and siding repairs
• Caulking, weatherproofing, and punch-list items
• Deliver standout customer service to homeowners from start to finish
• Plan and run a clean, organized job site
• Manage your materials and equipment
• Complete invoicing and collect payment
• Be the face of House Doctors in the neighborhood, which means spotting new opportunities and connecting with future customers

Requirements

• Have 5 to 10+ years of hands-on home repair and maintenance experience
• Know the techniques, tools, and materials of residential repair inside and out
• Can troubleshoot a problem and figure out the right fix
• Are organized, dependable, and take pride in delivering the best repair work with the right solution
• Genuinely enjoy working with homeowners and making their day
• Are comfortable learning a few basic apps and computer systems
• Can handle physical work, including bending, lifting 50+ lbs, and running tools all day
• Valid driver's license required
• Want year-round, long-term work with a team that's going places

Qualifications

• Previous handyman experience is a plus but not required
• Solid construction skills are a must
