Craftsman

Responsibilities

• Promote the company’s safety culture.
• Participate in daily huddles and safety meetings.
• Properly use, maintain and store all tools and material used in the course of work.
• Install threaded piping, including tasks such as retrieving material, installing pipe supports, obtaining field measurements, and cutting and threading of pipe.
• Perform carpentry activities, such as retrieving material, measuring and cutting of material, and installation of material.
• Assist welding crew with piping activities, including tasks such as retrieving material, handling of pipe, installing structural supports, and moving and stacking of skids.
• Assist operators with excavation activities, including tasks such as layout, hand excavation, hand backfill, compaction, line locating, and excavation spotting.
• Perform pipe coating activities, including tasks such as abrasive blasting, coating application, and holiday detecting.
• Install threaded pipe and fittings and have the ability to read and interpret pipe isometric and P&ID drawings.
• Install tubing and tube fittings per the design drawings.
• Perform flange make-up activities, including tasks such as retrieving material, preparing the flange faces, and torqueing the flanges.
• Setup and perform hydrotesting and pressure testing of piping systems.
• Install and maintain erosion and sedimentation control devices.
• Install safety control measures such as safety fence.
• Perform other duties as assigned, to include general laborer duties.

Qualifications

• Possess aerial lift, aerial work platform, rigging and signaling certifications.
• Effective communication and interaction skills with other trades and personnel on the projects.
• Knowledgeable with and applies OSHA standards.
