This position does not offer housing. Candidates must reside within commuting distance of Westport, Washington for all scheduled shifts.

Responsibilities

• Weigh, clean, remove meat, inspect, grade, and pack crab for sale.
• Carry baskets of product weighing up to 50 pounds to work station.
• Use mallet and anvil in a repetitive motion to remove the crab meat from the shell.
• Inspect meat for shell and defects.
• Follow health and safety guidelines.
• Perform other duties, as assigned.

Requirements

• Experience with the utilization of food processing equipment, sanitation, and food safety.
• Preferred: Experience with the safe operation of forklifts and powered pallet jacks.

Physical Requirements

• Sedentary work, walking, and standing are required only occasionally.
• Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
• Fingering: Picking, pinching, typing, or otherwise working primarily with fingers rather than the whole hand.
• Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word, conveying detailed or important instructions accurately.
• Hearing: Perceiving sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction to receive detailed information through oral communication.
• Close visual acuity to prepare and analyze data, view a computer terminal, and perform extensive reading.
• Repetitive motion: Substantial movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Working Conditions

• Utilizes PC and other standard office equipment.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet. If lengthy time working in the server room is required, noise-canceling headphones will be provided.

Pay

$18.50 / hour
