About the role
CP (Chemical Processing) Production Operator responsible for monitoring, controlling, and troubleshooting additive make-up operations, raw material unloading/loading, and maintaining consistent supply levels for Continuous Polymerization (CP) operations.
Responsibilities
- Monitor, control, and troubleshoot additive make-up operations and equipment.
- Monitor additive batches and feed tank levels to maintain a consistent supply of additives to CP operations.
- Monitor, control, and troubleshoot raw material unloading/loading operations and equipment.
- Monitor raw material silo levels per procedure to maintain a consistent supply of raw materials to CP operations.
- Unload raw material trailers at the receiving dock, raw material railcars, and additive tanker trucks.
- Perform Flagman duties when moving railcars, including operating Track Mobile during rail movements.
- Know and understand all Track Mobile and Flagman training documents.
- Learn and understand the CP chip systems.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED from a school accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or state/county of residence.
- Ability to work as a team member and in a safe manner.
- Ability to operate or willingness to learn to operate heavy equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude; can work with hands using hand tools and equipment.
- Willingness to learn to complete chemical mixing while wearing a respirator.
- Ability to track and maintain multiple processes simultaneously using computer controls and manual systems.
- Willingness to operate processes that may require showering.
- Highly motivated, self-driven, and engaged in learning.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Willingness to work in outside environments year-round.
Schedule
Rotating 12-hour shifts: 4 days on, 4 days off.
Pay
Hourly pay: $27.45
