About the role

Bison.Agency is seeking an Extended Coverage Specialist for its Auburn, ME terminal. The position is part-time, working Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 0800 to 2000.

Responsibilities

• Work within all areas of Operations Department, including Customer Service, Dispatch, and Planning.
• Build and maintain relationships between drivers, customers, and other departments.
• Ensure accuracy of order entry/order acceptance, tracing, and appointment booking.
• Secure and update shipping and delivery appointments in the system within prescribed lead time.
• Act as a single point of contact for customer needs, ensuring quality of order entry, appointment making, issue resolution, and business level monitoring.
• Execute daily activities for assigned driver fleet, such as reading and managing messages, tracking and planning home time events, providing driver routing, and confirming day-to-day activity by the end of the day.
• Book freight and communicate with customers, evaluating trucks and loads to balance drivers' availability/needs/home time with customer commitments.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Superior data entry skills.
• A willingness to learn and grow in the logistics industry.
• Well-organized, excellent communicator, and strong sense of timeliness.
• Analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Demonstrate customer service experience.
• Experience in transportation is preferred.
