Cover Operator

About the role

This position is responsible for preparation, application, and repair of paper machine roll covers at our Clarks Summit, PA location. The responsibility of the operator’s basic duties will entail setup and machine calibration, recovering of customers machine rolls, oven operation, and draining and filling tanks and vessels. The ability to patch covers in plant or at the customers facility by carrying out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.

Responsibilities

• Handling solvents to use while cleaning and maintaining machinery and customers equipment
• Transferring waste from dispenser to containers for proper disposal

Requirements

• A high school education with previous manufacturing experience; ideally a minimum of three to five years’ experience
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis and work on feet for extended periods
• Knowledge of papermaking machinery a plus, but not required
• Willingness to work with and train candidates with a high level of initiative and personal motivation
