About the Role

As our Assistant General Manager, you'll oversee departments, drive hotel profitability, and ensure every guest leaves with a smile. When the General Manager is away, you'll step in to lead the team, manage costs, and maintain top-notch standards. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, values collaboration, and loves creating unforgettable hospitality experiences.

This position is overtime eligible (OEM), and overtime applies as calculated.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise multiple departments and drive hotel profitability by managing teams and partnering with the General Manager.
  • Proactively identify and resolve challenges to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Recruit, hire, and train Guest Services staff, and support the development of all team members through training programs.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with colleagues and guests, ensuring concerns are heard and addressed.
  • Work with financial data and reports to support hotel operations.
  • Utilize Windows Operating Systems for management and reporting tasks.
  • Uphold professional appearance and grooming standards for yourself and the team.
  • Deliver a friendly, service-focused attitude in every guest and teammate interaction.

Requirements

  • At least five years of progressive hotel experience (Rooms or Food & Beverage), or a four-year degree with 2–3 years of related experience, or a two-year degree with 3–4 years of related experience.
  • Supervisory experience required.
  • Ability to remain calm and objective under pressure.
  • Must hold or obtain certifications such as Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR, and First Aid.

Reno-Tahoe International Airport is 2.5 miles from the property.
