Court Reporter, Realtime Steno/Voice Writing (Per Diem)
Description
The Fresno Superior Court is now hiring for Voice Writing and Steno Court Reporters Realtime with little to no court reporting experience. **Must have a valid Certified Shorthand Reporter (CSR) License**.
Becoming a Voice Writer and Steno Court Reporter information
Salary
$240 half day/ $480 full day or $60/hour
After 400 hours worked, earn $300 half day/ $600 full day or $75/hour
Ongoing Incentives
$6,250 Hiring Bonus
$5,625 bonus if retired from Fresno Superior Court
Make $60/hr to start or $75/hour after 400 hours worked
6% differential
Additional 4% differential for National Real-time Certification (total 10%)

Working Conditions
Sit at a desk and/or in front of a computer display terminal
Twist and bend neck
Repetitive hand movement while Reporting courtroom proceedings with a steno machine
Push and/or pull drawers of file cabinets and/or desks
Crouch, stoop, climb and reach while retrieving materials from shelves and cabinets
Occasional grasping, lifting, pushing, pulling, and movement of items weighing up to 20 pounds
Duties are performed primarily indoors
