• Under direction, prepare pre-sentencing reports, appear in court to present recommendations on treatment and sentencing, supervise defendants on probation and manage cases.

Qualifications

The successful applicant should demonstrate knowledge of court-ordered rehabilitation or support programs, sentencing guidelines, treatment options and community services available; New Mexico law, civil and criminal procedure; local court rules, policies and procedures, operations and structure; case management; legal terminology; substance abuse and mental health counseling and treatment; mediation techniques and conflict resolution; investigative techniques; drug screening methods; electronic monitoring equipment and technology; and court case management system.

Three years of prior case management experience maintaining a caseload is desired for this position, ability to demonstrate organization and prioritization of multiple client's needs, by assessing needs, planning individualized care, coordinating with outside agencies, managing during a crisis, and documenting all contact.

Minimum qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Criminal Justice, Social Sciences, or a related field. Four (4) years of directly related or relevant experience may substitute on a year for year basis.
• Experience: Three (3) years of experience in criminal justice, social services or related field. No substitution for experience.
• Other: May be required to obtain and maintain National Crime Information Center (NCIC) certification within six (6) months of hire.

Pay

$24.983-$31.229 per hour or $51,964.64-$64,956.32 annually.
