Responsibilities

  • Receives, prepares, verifies, and processes documents including routine correspondence and legal documents;
  • Copies forms and other materials;
  • May process and create new cases;
  • Schedules hearings;
  • Ensures case information is properly entered into the court’s official record in accordance with established procedures.
  • Researches and analyzes requests to respond to inquiries, problems, issues, and exceptions to resolve discrepancies;
  • Manages assigned caseload;
  • Serves as a liaison between prosecutors, attorneys, Judges, witnesses, victims, granting and law enforcement agencies, and other County departments.
  • May serve as court administrator on behalf of the courts.
  • Maintains confidentiality of cases.
  • Determines action to be taken to comply with statues and court orders.
  • Processes time-sensitive documents in accordance with all applicable County, State and Federal statutes.
  • Scans, indexes, and performs quality assurance of documents in case management system.

Qualifications

  • Education: Graduation from an accredited high school/GED program;
  • Experience: Four (4) years job-related experience or 60 college hours or a combination of the two.
