About the role

IDRA’s internship program is designed for undergraduate and graduate students who are passionate about educational equity and interested in gaining hands-on professional experience while contributing to meaningful projects across the organization. Interns work closely with IDRA staff to support projects aligned with their academic needs, areas of interest, and university course-credit requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting research and data analysis
  • Supporting program or project development
  • Assisting with communications/PR campaigns, writing and content creation
  • Helping plan events, virtual sessions or community engagement activities
  • Participating in strategy discussions and team meetings
  • Contributing to advocacy, outreach or education practice work
  • Assisting with administrative or project coordination tasks

Assignments are matched to the intern’s strengths and interests, as well as the needs of IDRA’s teams.

  • Ability to work independently and to function as part of a team
  • Knowledge of using office and technological equipment or capable of learning to do so

Schedule

Format: Fully remote
Duration: Approximately 8-10 weeks (varies by semester and university requirements)
Start Date: Flexible, based on academic term
Weekly Hours: 20-30 hours per week

Pay

Unpaid. Students may earn academic course credit. All credit arrangements must be made directly between the student and their university.
