Course Coordinator - Year 1

Primary Purpose

The Year 1 Course Coordinator plays a pivotal role in the successful delivery of foundational, team-taught courses. This individual ensures smooth coordination among faculty, supports instructional technology, and maintains high standards of course organization and communication.

Essential Job Functions

• Cook up all Year 1 team-taught courses, ensuring alignment of content, assessments, and learning outcomes.
• Schedule and facilitate regular faculty meetings to promote collaboration and consistency.
• Build and maintain course sites on Canvas, including uploading materials, managing modules, and ensuring accessibility.
• Aid faculty with ExamSoft setup, question formatting, and exam deployment.
• Serve as a liaison between faculty, administration, and support staff.
• Track and communicate important course deadlines and deliverables.
• Provide logistical support for in-class and online activities.
• Monitor student feedback and collaborate with faculty to implement improvements.

Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Background in education, instructional design, or academic administration.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a professional office, academic, administrative, or educational support environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in education, business administration, instructional technology, or a related field.
• Experience coordinating projects, schedules, meetings, or academic/course operations.
• Experience working with learning management systems (such as Canvas) and/or testing platforms (such as ExamSoft).

Pay

SALARY: $23.25 - $27.50 per hour. The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill, knowledge, experience, education, and credentials.
