About the role

Department: Operations. Reports to: Department Manager. Location: Rochester, NY.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company vehicles to transport materials, products, and equipment to and from designated locations.
• Follow assigned delivery routes and schedules, adjusting as needed to ensure timely service.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report any vehicle maintenance or safety concerns.
• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company transportation policies at all times.
• Load, secure, transport, and unload shipments in a safe and efficient manner.
• Communicate with supervisors or dispatch regarding delays, delivery issues, or route changes.
• Provide professional and courteous service when interacting with customers and internal teams.
• Maintain accurate transportation records and prepare required reports.
• Support overall logistics coordination and serve as a reliable point of communication within the team.
• Demonstrate professionalism, dependability, and ability to perform effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
• If called in to work outside of the regular schedule, employees are expected to work at least four hours unless otherwise directed by management.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid NYS driver’s license with a clean driving record (CDL may be required based on vehicle type).
• Minimum of 2 years of professional driving, delivery, or transportation experience preferred.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices.
• Ability to operate delivery vehicles and basic material handling equipment.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and time management skills.

Pay

Pay Schedule: Non‑exempt employees are paid weekly.

Compensation (Non‑Exempt): Salary starts at $39,520–$46,000 annually, depending on experience.

Shift Differential: 2nd Shift: +$1.00/hour; 3rd Shift: +$2.00/hour (based on hours worked).

Schedule

Full‑Time: 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday–Friday.
