About the role

Operates company vehicles to provide courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages. Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx service standards. Provides coverage for assigned routes within the station's service area. Performs related customer service functions.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Lift 50 lbs and maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment and/or assistance
• Show good human relations and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrate thorough knowledge of the station's service area
• Adaptability, dependability, and excellent courier methods
• At least 21 years of age
• Read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials, and respond to official inquiries and directions

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Six (6) months courier experience preferred
• Must be able to demonstrate area knowledge
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Valid driver's license in accordance with state requirements for type of vehicle assigned and good driving record as outlined in policy

Skills

• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Good human relations and verbal communication skills
• Thorough knowledge of the station's service area preferred
• Adaptability, dependability, and excellent courier methods

Pay

$23.42-$35.54 per hour

Schedule

Mon-Sat, Hours TBD based on operational needs

Job Conditions

• Neat appearance due to customer contact
• Maintain qualifications as outlined in the federal motor carrier safety regulations
• Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age
• Driver’s license for at least three years with no gaps or suspensions
• Two years of courier delivery experience strongly desired

Additional Details

Monday-Saturday: 6:00AM-6:00PM, Days off TBD
