About the role

Operates company vehicles to provide courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages. Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx service standards. Provides coverage for all assigned routes within the station’s service area. Performs related customer service functions.

Requirements

• Minimum Education: High school diploma/GED
• Minimum Experience: Six (6) months courier experience preferred
• Must be able to demonstrate area knowledge
• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to lift 50 lbs, ability to maneuver packages of any weight, good human relations and verbal communication skills, thorough knowledge of the station's service area preferred, demonstrated skills in adaptability, dependability, and excellent courier methods
• Age: At least 21 years old
• Language: Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials, and respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance

Qualifications

• Must meet and maintain the qualifications as outlined in the federal motor carrier safety regulations
• Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations
• Must obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license in accordance with state requirements for type of vehicle assigned and have a good driving record as outlined in policy
