About the role

Operates company vehicles to provide courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages. Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx service standards. Provides coverage for assigned routes within the station's service area. Performs related customer service functions.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED
• Six (6) months courier experience preferred
• Must demonstrate area knowledge
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must meet and maintain qualifications as outlined in the federal motor carrier safety regulations
• Must have a valid driver's license in accordance with state requirements for type of vehicle assigned and have a good driving record as outlined in policy

Qualifications

• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person
• Good human relations and verbal communication skills
• Thorough knowledge of the station's service area preferred
• Demonstrated skills in adaptability, dependability, and excellent courier methods

Skills

• Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance

Pay

$23.42 - $35.54 per hour, depending on experience and location.

Schedule

Mon-Sat 6am-6pm, Shift/Hours are TBD based on operational needs.

Additional Details

Monday-Saturday - 6:00AM-6:00PM, Days off TBD

Preferred Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age, have had driver’s license for three years with no gaps or suspensions
• Two to three years of courier deliver driver experience, strongly preferred
