About the role

Operates company vehicles to provide courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages. Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx service standards. Provides coverage for assigned routes within the station’s service area and performs related customer service functions.

Responsibilities

• Lifts and moves packages weighing up to 50 lbs using appropriate equipment and assistance.
• Ensures compliance with FedEx service features and customer expectations.
• Provides customer service functions as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Six (6) months courier experience preferred
• Demonstrated area knowledge
• Good human relations and verbal communication skills
• Thorough knowledge of the station’s service area preferred
• Adaptability, dependability, and excellent courier methods
• At least 21 years of age
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license in accordance with state requirements for type of vehicle assigned
• Good driving record as outlined in policy
• Medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations
• Neat appearance due to customer contact
• Maintains qualifications as outlined in federal motor carrier safety regulations

Skills

• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Good human relations and verbal communication skills
• Adaptability, dependability, and excellent courier methods

$23.42 per hour
