Courier/Swing Driver/Non-DOT

About the role

Operates company vehicles and provides courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages. Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service. Provides coverage for all assigned routes within the station's service area and performs related customer service functions. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Valid driver’s license in accordance with state requirements for the assigned vehicle type
• Good driving record as outlined in company policy
• At least 21 years of age
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials, and respond to inquiries
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and maneuver packages above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment or assistance
• Neat appearance due to customer contact requirements
• Must meet and maintain qualifications outlined in Federal Motor Carrier Safety regulations
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner

Preferred Qualifications

• Six months of courier experience
• Thorough knowledge of the station’s service area
• Good human relations and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated adaptability, dependability, and excellent courier methods

Pay

$22.30 per hour

Schedule

Part-time swing position with varying days and hours. Flexible schedule required.
