Courier/Swing Driver/Non-DOT

About the Role

Operates company vehicles and provides courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages. Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service and performs related customer service functions. Provides coverage for all assigned routes within the station's service area in Santa Fe, NM. Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and pick up packages efficiently and courteously.
• Check shipments for conformance to FedEx service features.
• Provide coverage for assigned routes within the Santa Fe service area.
• Perform related customer service functions.
• Adhere to all job duties as outlined in policy 4-48 for operating company vehicles.

Requirements

• Minimum education: High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Must obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license in accordance with state requirements for the type of vehicle assigned.
• Good driving record as outlined in company policy.
• Six months of courier experience preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and maneuver packages above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment or assistance.
• Ability to read, speak, and understand English sufficiently to interpret traffic signs and communicate with traffic safety officials.
• Neat appearance due to customer contact requirements.
• Must meet and maintain qualifications outlined in Federal Motor Carrier Safety regulations.
• Must successfully complete a Federal Drug screen and background check.

• Thorough knowledge of the station's service area (preferred).
• Demonstrated adaptability, dependability, and excellent courier methods.
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.

Pay

Starting pay: $22.30 per hour.

Schedule

Part-time or full-time positions available. Monday through Saturday with a day off to be determined. AM or PM shifts available.
