Courier Route Driver Floater

About the role

The Route Driver/Courier Floater role supports on-site client operations in Santa Clara, California. This role involves delivering mail and parcels safely and efficiently, supporting chain-of-custody standards, and providing flexible office support.

Responsibilities

• Travel a predefined courier route via company vehicle to deliver mail and parcels
• Retrieve and deliver items according to dispatch instructions and maps
• Maintain detailed logs and time stamps for all deliveries
• Respond to client requests and ensure timely order fulfillment
• Operate company vehicles safely and in compliance with state and company standards
• Follow company protocol in the event of an accident or injury
• Maintain vehicle condition through routine servicing and cleaning
• Provide front- or back-office coverage as needed
• Train backup personnel and provide guidance on policies and procedures

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Current state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to safely operate a company motor vehicle
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn required systems
• Professional appearance and adherence to company policies

Qualifications

• 2+ years of related work experience preferred
• Working knowledge of MFD equipment
• Familiarity with shipping and receiving procedures
• Familiarity with validating packing slips and handling materials accurately
