Courier/Non-DOT

About the role

Provides courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages. Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service and provides related customer service functions. Drives vehicles not regulated by section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Scan and load packages on customer docks
• Transport packages inside the MEMH
• Operate company vehicles for delivery and pick-up
• Check shipments for conformance to service features
• Provide customer service functions

Schedule

• Part Time - Monday through Friday: 8:00 PM to 2:00 AM (OVERNIGHT)

Pay

• $21.05 Per Hour

Minimum Education

• High School Diploma/GED

• None

Qualifications

• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person
• Good human relations and communication skills
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials, and respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance
• Must be licensed for type of vehicle assigned
