Pay

$16 - $20.66 per hour, depending on experience.

Schedule

PRN/as needed, Monday - Friday.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate timely and efficient transportation of medical specimens and supplies.
  • Provide excellent customer service to clients and employees.
  • Maintain cleanliness and perform maintenance on company vehicles and transport devices.
  • Ensure compliance with confidentiality and HIPAA regulations.
  • Document operations and complete necessary reports.
  • Assist with training and communication among couriers and relevant departments.
  • Maintain consistent, punctual, and reliable attendance to ensure continuity of operations and support for our team and patients.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid, unrestricted driver’s license
  • Clean driving record
  • Strong preference for candidates with previous driving/courier experience

Skills & Competencies

  • Navigation, punctuality, and ability to follow detailed instructions
  • Ability to drive in inclement weather

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent lifting up to 30 lbs.
  • Occasional lifting of 30-60 lbs.
  • Ability to enter and exit assigned vehicle.
  • Able to sit in vehicle/drive for up to 4 hours nonstop.
  • Ability to load & unload assigned vehicle, with frequent bending involved.
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment as needed.
  • Regularly handle potentially infectious samples.
  • Ability to drive assigned vehicle in all types of conditions, including built-up areas, freeway, rural traffic, hours of darkness, and inclement weather.
  • May be exposed to odorous chemicals and specimens.
  • Occasional-to-regular kneeling, bending, stooping, and twisting to perform vehicle inspections and minor operator maintenance, including changing tires.

This position performs tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids, and/or tissues. All employees performing these duties are offered the opportunity to receive the Hepatitis-B vaccination series.
