Courier/Driver (1st shift) - Eurofins Environment Testing - Lancaster, PA

About the role

Courier responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Documenting, packaging and transporting samples in accordance with appropriate project-specific sampling and analysis plans/protocols
• Responsible for quality control of all assignments and completing documents
• Following and enforcing company health and safety policies
• Must be able to follow technical instructions and guidance
• May assist with data collection and routine sampling, as needed

Responsibilities

• Long distance driving; candidates may be asked to drive as far as North New Jersey, Pittsburgh, etc., and a maximum of 250–300 miles per day, round trip
• Route could consist of anywhere from 1–5 stops
• May be asked to drive to other locations as needed based on business needs
• Additional duties as assigned

Schedule

Role is full-time, Monday–Friday, 8 am–5 pm as the basic schedule; hours may vary due to routes and traffic and could be extended as late as 6 pm–8 pm on occasion. Candidates with flexibility to shift schedules and hours as needed are ideal.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• A valid state-issued driver’s license to drive delivery vehicles
• Must be able to operate a motor vehicle
• Must be able to use a smartphone
• Must be willing and able to drive long distances (4+ hours)
• Professional working proficiency in English, including the ability to read, write and speak in English
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Preferred qualifications

• Ability to follow GPS directions
• Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
• Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies

Pay

The compensation range for this position is $17.75 per hour; the actual base salary may vary based on relevant experience and skill set, internal peer salaries, business sector, and geographic location.
