Courier/DOT

Responsibilities

Provides courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages.

Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service and provides related customer service functions.

Requirements

• Minimum Education: High school diploma/GED.
• Licensed for type of vehicle assigned.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance.
• Good human relations and verbal communication skills.
• Neat appearance due to customer contact.
• Must meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier safety regulations.
• Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations.
• Non-covered safety-sensitive position.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials, and respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.

Qualifications

• Preferred Qualifications: Pay Transparency - $21.05/hr. plus $3.00/hr. pay incentive.
• Pay - Additional Details: Full-Time position. Schedule: Monday-Saturday 7:45AM-5:45PM (Day off during the week).
• The desired location for this position is Nashville, TN. Employees will be required to work at the FedEx location five days a week.
