Courier/DOT

Responsibilities

Provides courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages.

Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service and provides related customer service functions.

Requirements

• Minimum Education: High school diploma/GED.
• Licensed for type of vehicle assigned.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance.
• Good human relations and verbal communication skills.
• Neat appearance due to customer contact.
• Meets qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier safety regulations.
• Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations.
• Non-covered safety-sensitive position.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials, and respond to official inquiries and directions.

• Physical ability to handle packages and operate vehicles.
• Medical eligibility as per FMCSA or FAA regulations.

Benefits

This position may remain at the current station or be reassigned to another location within a 50-mile radius based on operational needs.

Employees will be required to work at the FedEx location five days a week.

Pay

The compensation range for this position is $21 - $26 per hour.

Actual pay is determined by several job-related factors permitted by law and relevant to the position, including, but not limited to, experience relative to the job, tenure, market level, pay at the location for this job, performance, schedule, and work assignment.

In California, the compensation range for this position is $21 - $26 per hour.

Schedule

Monday through Sunday with 2 days of work during the week.
