Courier/DOT

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous and efficient delivery and pick‑up of packages.
• Check shipments for conformance to FedEx service features and perform related customer‑service functions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education

High school diploma or GED.

Licensure and Regulatory Requirements

• Must be licensed for the type of vehicle assigned.
• Must meet qualifications outlined in Section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
• Medical exam required in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations (non‑covered safety‑sensitive position).
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be able to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials, and respond to official inquiries and directions per FMCSA guidance.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to lift 50 lb.
• Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lb with appropriate equipment and/or assistance.
• Good human‑relations and verbal communication skills.
• Neat appearance, as customer contact is required.
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.

Pay

Pay range: $22.11 – $32.83 per hour. Starting rate is $22.11 per hour.

Schedule

Part‑time, Monday‑Saturday (day off TBD), 8 am – 2 pm.
