Courier/DOT

Provides courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages. Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service and provides related customer service functions. Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles for delivery and pick-up of packages
• Ensure shipments conform to FedEx service standards
• Provide customer service related to deliveries and pick-ups
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license for the type of vehicle assigned
• Must meet qualifications outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier safety regulations
• Must pass a medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and maneuver heavier packages with appropriate equipment or assistance
• Good human relations and verbal communication skills
• Neat appearance (customer contact required)
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials, and respond to inquiries

Preferred Qualifications

• Preferred location: Lewisberry, PA
• Willingness to work at the FedEx location five days a week

Pay

$23.21 - $32.83 USD hourly

Schedule

Part-time: Monday through Friday, 3 PM - 9 PM
