About the role
Driver/operator of company vehicles. Provides courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages. Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service and provides related customer service functions. Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid license for the type of vehicle assigned
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to maneuver packages over 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment or assistance
- Good human relations and verbal communication skills
- Neat appearance (customer contact required)
- Must meet qualifications outlined in Section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
- Medical exam required per FMCSA or FAA regulations
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safely
- Minimum age 21 years
- Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with officials, and respond to inquiries per FMCSA guidance
