About the role

Driver/operator of company vehicles. Provides courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages. Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service and provides related customer service functions. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license for the type of vehicle assigned
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Ability to maneuver packages above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment or assistance
• Good human relations and verbal communication skills
• Neat appearance (customer contact required)
• Must meet qualifications outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
• Must pass a medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials, and respond to inquiries
• Dangerous Goods Certification required

Preferred Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license for the previous three-year period

Pay

Starting at $21.05/hr - up to $31.26/hr. This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience, market level, pay at the location for this job, and other job-related factors permitted by law.

Schedule

Full-time, Tuesday–Saturday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM.
