About the role

The Driver/Operator of Company Vehicles is responsible for providing courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages. This individual ensures shipments conform to FedEx's service standards and performs related customer service functions.

Responsibilities

• Provides courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages.
• Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx service standards.
• Performs related customer service functions.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED.
• Licensed for type of vehicle assigned.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance.
• Good human relations and verbal communication skills.
• Neat appearance due to customer contact.
• Meets qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
• Requires a medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations.
• Non-covered safety-sensitive position.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials, and respond to official inquiries and directions.

• Knowledge of the English language sufficient to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials, and respond to official inquiries and directions.
